Flooring

We got our flooring from my Uncle who is a contractor. 

It was leftover from a house recent remodel. Most importantly, it was FREE! 

Because we wanted to be sure we had plenty of flooring, we installed our benches first to save on flooring material.

The flooring is an engineered wood floating floor.

We first laid underlayment and taped the seams using white duct tape. 

We started the flooring in the "hallway" between the benches. Visually, this is an important area for the floor to look straight and even. 

We used a bead of liquid nails between the tounge and groove of each plank 

We also made sure to alternate between long and short planks to keep the seams from lining up.
